Synopsis: The reasons for producing this book are listed on the first page, and include:- the aim of locating works illustrated by a particular artist in book form; the ascertainment of completeness of the items included, bearing in mind that many illustrated works have no list of illustrations , or are unpaginated; to enable the identification of the first illustrated edition by a particular illustrator; and to enable the identification of anonymous works of illustrators by using the included author/title index. Notes on the making of the bibliography are followed by a list of illustrations, with illustrators arranged in alphabetical order.
