Among the letters are some concerning his daughter, Hester, who became Lady of the Manor of Hadley, and his sons - Azariah, who took part in the Monmouth Rebellion and was shipped to Nevis in the West Indies, and Nathaniel, who married an heiress and became a businessman in Bristol and Bettiscombe. The book is edited and introduced by Geoffrey Nuttall, and includes a foreword by Lady Pinney. Condition: cut edges foxed: bookseller's label to lower spine: overall very clean, firm and good used books
