In the second part of the book the author describes  his journey to Dublin  to join  the Civic Guard.  The  chapters  are entitled - In Dingle.  My Firsr Journey Home .  The Island.  A Day's Hunting.  The Ventry Races.  Pierce's Cave.  A Shoal of Mackerel.  Halloween.  The Whale.  The Wake .  A  Night in the Inish.  The War .  The Shipwreck.  The Wanderer .  The Lobster Season.  Matchmaking.  The Wedding Day .  An American Wake.  The Stranger.  My Last Journey to the Inish .  I leave home.  From Dingle East.  The City of Dublin.  The Civic Guard.  Connemara.  Conclusion.
